Deposit Types

The Bonanza Property lies within a group of significant past and current producers in the Red Lake camp. These include Goldcorp's current Red Lake mine, and the past producers, Cochenour, Howey Bay, and Madsen mines.

In the region there are high expectations for additional resources going into production. For example, Premier Gold Mine's Folansbee zone and mineralization, intersected by Southern Star resources and Exall Resources. These deposits and the more recent discoveries have varying deposit styles, from mesothermal and shear-hosted, to unconformity, or intrusion-related. A common thread is distinct structural controls from successive deformational episodes.

The Bonanza Property deposit is considered to be structurally-controlled, and related to the deformation of an already relatively permeable contact margin of the Dome Stock. The property is located over this contact and there remains a significant portion of the margin that has not been drill tested.
