Environmental Governance

While environmental sustainability issues are of greater consequence to producing gold mining companies, often it is the junior companies that create a foundation of understanding and commitment to the communities affected by exploration and development of gold properties.

Grandview Gold Inc is committed to exist and grow its exploration in harmony with the people and natural environments of the communities in which it operates. The company's end goal for all projects is to net no long-term negative impacts on the environment, and, where possible, improve or mitigate negative impacts that may have been left behind by previous land owners.

In the major and emerging gold districts of North America, respect for community and the environment is of fundamental importance for all resource exploration and mining companies. Sustainability over the short and long term is the baseline for all Grandview Gold projects. Respect for indigenous peoples, social and political customs and for the natural and emerging environment, is paramount. As the company grows its investment and operations in small-mines communities abroad, its Sustainability Policy will gain traction and leave behind a meaningful legacy of hope and prosperity for resource communities in developing gold districts.

The management and board of directors of Grandview Gold Inc have adopted the following guidelines with respect to Environmental Governance:

  • Maximize commercial and shareholder interests without compromising natural or social environments.
  • Respect the integral environmental and social values of people living and working in the communities in which Grandview operates.
  • Consult all levels of elected, appointed and aboriginal governments affected by or associated with Grandview projects.
  • In emerging gold districts, work with equivalent of Ministry of Energy & Mines to evolve policy to mutual benefit.
  • Adopt best environmental practices as they become available through emerging exploration and development technologies.
