High Potential Projects in Major Gold Camps

Traditional exploration in the major gold camps of North America is, by comparison to the development of small mines in emerging markets, a capital intensive proposition, subject to investor confidence and the rise and fall of the economy, and the capital markets. In an effort to mitigate exploration risk, accelerate exploration programs and increase the upside potential of what is in fact one of the most impressive portfolios of major gold camp properties held by a junior resource company, Grandview re-wrote its business plan.

With the acquisition, in July, 2009, of the Giulianita gold-producing property in northwest Peru, Grandview Gold (through its wholly-owned subsidiary Recuperación Realzada S.A.C.) took the first steps toward becoming a junior gold producer (details of the company's gold-producing project can be found on the Gold Production pages of this website), with the capacity to generate revenues, reduce dependence on the capital markets and accelerate major gold camp exploration programs.

The inclusion of a gold production component to in part fund major gold district exploration, does not eliminate the company's need for institutional and private funding, but it does substantially fortify the traditional model of absolute dependence. Positive cash-flow from gold production projects will, as the projects reach fruition, help fund the company's traditional high-potential exploration projects in major gold districts like Red Lake, Ontario and Rice Lake, Manitoba.
